Crisp dips

print recipe

Movie night isn’t complete without a giant bowl of crisps and selection of dips. So here are a couple of my favourite crisp dips – goats cheese and red pepper dip and a glorious green goddess dip. These are so much better than your standard dip tray from the supermarket.

Both dips can be whipped up in absolutely no time and will transform movie night into something a bit special.

If you want to be a bit extra, you could even make your own gourmet crisps. They’re incredibly moorish so make sure you make more than you think you’ll need.

Also, can we please discuss favourite crisps? Monster Munch, Hula Hoops, Frazzles, there’s just so many to choose from. Please tell me your fave crisps as I wanna try make some from scratch, that can be my next potato based challenge.

For something hotter, why not try my extra crispy smashed spuds to pair with the red pepper dip – who says roast potatoes can’t be a snack? I will seriously whip up a bowl just to snack on. No shame here.

Method

  1. For the goats cheese and red pepper dip - Break up your goats cheese into a mini chopper bowl and add in the rest of the ingredients. Give it a good blitz until smooth. If it’s looking too thick add in a tiny splash of water, taste for seasoning and dig in!
  2. For the green goddess dip - Slice up your green chilli and spring onion tops into chunks so they can fit in the bowl of a mini chopper. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blitz. Season well with salt, pepper and lime juice. Taste and adjust as needed, then get stuck in.
