Say hello to your new favourite wrap…the sweet chilli chicken crunch wrap. If you’re craving something crispy, saucy, cheesy, and packed with flavour, this one’s going to deliver on every front. It’s the kind of recipe that feels like fast food (in the best way), but with a homemade twist that lets you control the spice, texture, and toppings. Think of it as a cross between your favourite Asian-style chicken stir-fry and a loaded, toasted quesadilla, wrapped up and ready to crunch. Because we all love a bit of crunch don’t we.
At the heart of this wrap is tender chicken breast, marinated with a mix of sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, and a pinch of Chinese 5 spice. This combo delivers that sticky-sweet, slightly smoky glaze that clings to the chicken and brings instant flavour with minimal effort. Plus you probs have all of these ingredients in your cupboard already. Once the chicken is cooked and caramelised, it’s ready to be tucked into a giant tortilla with all the good stuff.
The CRUNCH
Now for the fun part: the crunch. We layer in cool ranch tortilla chips (yes, in the wrap trust me), which give every bite a salty, zesty crunch that plays perfectly against the soft mozzarella and saucy chicken. Add in shredded lettuce and spring onions for freshness and bite, plus plenty of gooey melted mozzarella for the ultimate cheesy pull. It’s the lunch of your dreams…and everyone else’s nightmare because you won’t share hehe.
This wrap is totally customisable. You can add sliced red chilli for heat, or swap the mozzarella for cheddar. But as written, it’s that perfect mix of sweet, savoury, spicy, and crispy.

Sweet chilli chicken crunch wrap

Ingredients
For the sweet chilli chicken
- 1 chicken breast
- 100ml sweet chilli sauce
- 25ml light soy sauce
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice
- Salt and white pepper

For the crunch wraps
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 2 mini flour tortillas
- 50g grated mozzarella
- 2 lettuce leaves, shredded
- 2 spring onions, sliced
- Handful cool ranch tortilla crisps
- Sweet chilli sauce for drizzles
- Soft butter
- Salt and white pepper

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºc fan/200ºc/350ºf. Heat a pan over a medium heat with a glug of olive oil. Pan fry the chicken on all sides until golden brown.
- Mix together the 5 spice, soy and sweet chilli sauce with a pinch of salt and pepper, then pour all over the chicken breast. Pop the whole pan into the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Shred the chicken breast with 2 forks and mix through the remaining reduced sweet chilli sauce. Lay out the large tortilla wraps and split the chicken breast between the centre of each one.
- Add a layer of mozzarella on each one, then top with tortilla chips for a layer of CROUNCH, and finally your lettuce and spring onions. Drizzle with more sweet chilli, then pop the small tortilla wrap on top.
- Fold each side in so the wrap begins to resemble a bit of a hexagon. Preheat a dry frying pan over a medium heat and lightly butter one side of the wrap. Place it butter side down into the pan and fry until golden brown.
- Butter the other side and flip over the wrap, then continue to fry until crispy. Slice in half and serve with more tortilla crisps.
Notes & Tips
- Add in extra salads, or if you're feeling lazy but want a bit of *health*, a few spoonfuls of shop bought salsa works wonders!
